OCEAN MINDED EMAIL SWEEPSTAKES – OFFICIAL RULES
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
2. SWEEPSTAKES ENTRANTS (“ENTRANT(S)”) AND PRIZE RECIPIENTS MUST BE LEGAL RESIDENTS OF SOUTH AFRICA AND 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. VOID OUTSIDE OF SOUTH AFRICA WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Employees of Crocs SA (Pty) Ltd, (hereinafter, “Sponsor”) and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, advertising and promotion, fulfillment and/or judging agencies (hereinafter, “Related Entities”) and their immediate families (spouse, siblings, children and parents, regardless of where they live, or members of the same households whether related or not) are not eligible. Sweepstakes are subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
3. SPONSOR: The Sponsor of this Sweepstakes is Crocs SA (Pty) Ltd P.O Box 4, Gordon’s Bay, 7151, South Africa.
4. HOW TO ENTER: Log on to www.oceanminded.co.za and enter “”Sign up to win free merchandise” box on the main page (“Entry”). In order to become eligible, Entrants must send an e-mail to info@oceanminded.co.za with the subject “win free merchandise- name” and your name . Limit of one Entry per email address and one prize per Entrant. Entries are the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged. Sponsor and Related Entities are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or otherwise misdirected Entries that are processed late or incorrectly or are lost due to computer or electronic malfunction or other error. Sponsor and Related Entities are not responsible for lost, incomplete, illegible, late, misdirected, or stolen Entries. No correspondence will be entered into, acknowledged or returned. Sponsor reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, cancel, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes should any technical difficulty, Act of God or other force majeure causes beyond the control of the Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Sweepstakes, at which time, Sponsor will select winners by conducting a random drawing from among all Eligible Entries received at the time of each monthly drawing. By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrant agrees that Sponsor may add Entrant’s email address to Sponsor’s distribution lists, subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.
5. RANDOM DRAWING/SELECTION OF WINNERS: There will be a total of twelve (12) Random Drawings. Entrants are eligible to win in each Random Drawing following the date of their Entry. One (1) winner will be chosen each month starting in August of 2010. Each Random Drawing will take place to select one (1) Eligible Entry from among all Eligible Entries received through the date of the Random Drawing for that month. The Odds of winning depend upon the number of Eligible Entries received. Each Random Drawing will take place on or about the fifteenth of each month. All Random Drawings will be conducted by Sponsor. Each Entrant will be assigned a numerical identity and a random number generator will be used to select a winner. Sponsor’s decisions in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes are final.
6. TWELVE (12) PRIZES: Each Prize consists of one (1) pair of the various styles of Ocean Minded™ footwear. The Approximate Retail Value of Each Prize: R429.00. Total Approximate Retail Value of all Prizes: R5148.00. Colors and sizes of the Ocean Minded products are subject to availability. Potential Winners will be notified by email on or about fourteen (14) business days after each Random Drawing. Each selected potential Prize Winner will not be the Official Prize Winner until his/her eligibility has been formally verified by Sponsor. Potential Prize Winners will have two (2) weeks from the date of notification by Sponsor to claim a prize. Prizes can only be shipped to a South African address. If the selected potential Prize Winner fails to comply with the Official Rules and/or to submit required documentation within the designated period, that Prize Winner will be disqualified and the Prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. Eligibility, age, and claims made by Prize Winner are subject to verification. Sponsor is not responsible for fraudulent calls or e-mails made to Entrants not by the Sponsor. No substitutions or cash redemptions allowed. Prizes are non transferable. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize is unavailable for any reason. If a Prize Winner notification or a Prize is returned as undeliverable, the Prize Winner is ineligible, or the Prize Winner declines a prize, that prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected by random drawing from among all remaining Entries. If enough Eligible Entries are not received Sponsor will not be obliged to award all prizes. By entering this Sweepstakes, Entrants and Prize Winners: (1) agree to be bound by these Official Rules; (2) agree to release Sponsor and its Related Entities from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, costs or expenses, including without limitation property damages, personal injury and/or death arising out of participating in this Sweepstakes, or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery; and (3) acknowledge that the Sponsor have neither made nor are responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose.
7. PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes winner’s consent to Sponsor’s (and its designees’, successors’ and assigns’) use of winner’s name for promotional purposes in any manner or media (including, without limitation, online), worldwide, in perpetuity, and without further payment, consideration, notice, review or consent.
8. WINNERS LIST: To obtain the names of Prize Winners (available only after 5/31/11), send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Ocean Minded Email Sweepstakes Winners, Attn: Tim Starke, P.O Box 4, Gordon’s Bay, 7151, South Africa. All requests must be received by 10/31/11.
